Pick a side

I would choose to amend the rule, but not get rid of it completely. The rule says no phone usage at all. I would say to allow phone usage if the teacher permits, and in the halls. I agree with sending the students to the office if they use it without permission.  Some students do not have the ability to go on Angel at home, and school is the only place they can check it. All the teachers stress on the importance of Angel, and with this new rule, its not easy to get on. In the hallways students use their phone to check the times to make sure they are not late to class. If they can not use their phone to check the time, they could be late to class which halts their education. Another good point in this matter, is the ability to communicate with our parents. Sometimes with lab, I need to be able to tell my mom when its over and whats going on. I can not tell her whats going on with this rule and with the miscommunication she could leave work early when she does not need too. I understand what happened with the immature and childish children, but please do not punish us for them. We are good students with good intentions, so please allow us to prove it to you that phones in the hallways is okay.

  1. You may be able to join the 2nd and 3rd sentences together and it would make more sense. Also, a few sentences in, you said "All the teachers..." which should be changed to all of the teachers. Missing commas in sone sentences. Overall, I agree with you and feel like we should beanie to use out phones with permission and in the hallways. We should not have been punished for a choice somebody else made, especially taking in the fact that they already faced their consequences.
